High Risk Pregnancy
High risk pregnancy may affect the life of the mother or lead to miscarriage or other pregnancy complications. Women at risk should seek care and treatment at a reputed high risk pregnancy hospital to secure the life of themselves and their unborn children. The hospitals provide all the required assistance and treatment to reduce the risks associated with pregnancy and ensure safe delivery of the baby.
A lot of health issues like high blood pressure, obesity and diabetes lead to high risk pregnancy. These complications not only put the mother’s life at risk but the child as well. At Care Hospitals, we take utmost care of our patients and provide high risk pregnancy treatment to ensure their safety.
Normal Delivery
Since IVF conception is not natural, it is considered high-risk pregnancy and C-section, or Caesarean delivery is usually recommended. However, natural delivery in IVF conception might be rare but certainly possible. Doctors suggest C-section delivery after IVF conception since natural delivery poses threat to the mother and the child, which are eliminated with a C-section.
An expecting mother may join antenatal classes and learn breathing techniques if she finds herself wanting a natural birth. However, women who conceive through IVF over the age of 40 have higher chances of problems occurring during childbirth, which is why doctors don’t take chances and insist on a C-section. Even though a normal delivery sounds more natural after conceiving artificially through IVF, trusting the doctor is essential to protect the mother and the child.
In Vitro Fertilisation (IVF)
In Vitro Fertilisation (IVF) involves a series of procedures to treat infertility and other problems in conception. The procedure involves fertilizing female ova with male sperm in a medically controlled environment outside the woman’s body. These fertilized eggs are then implanted in the female’s uterus to initiate pregnancy. The process that requires about 2 weeks was initially used on women with damaged fallopian tubes. Currently, IVF is effective in managing virtually all fertility problems and is the preferred treatment for couples who are unable to conceive naturally.
IVF may be done using the egg and sperm of the partner or those of anonymous donors. The same procedure might be used on a gestational carrier. IVF is widely preferred and the most efficacious assisted reproductive procedure.
